I was playing with the idea of a 20s fashion inspired space suit with a bit of steampunkishness to it.. I tried to leave it firmly in science fiction/future territory as opposed to being ‘period’ or real steampunk by limiting the influence there to the materials (brass, leather, silver) . I thought the streamlined, boyish-silhouette of 20s clothing was a pretty good match for a sleek spacesuit.
